Fire 96 Boys White Win Crossroads of the South 2008
A 2-1 win over Tupelo Futbol Club and a 2-1 victory over Gulf Coast United brought them out of the bracket to face rival JFC in the championship game. Fire dominated from the start with 2 goals scored in the first 4 minutes of play. Bryden Reed put the first one in the back of the net from the top of the eighteen. Kyle Leber scored the second with a blazing, hot shot from midfield. In the second half, an early goal from Jamoral Graham and one more from Leber put the finishing touches on the game. The FIRE defense stood solid never giving up a single goal to JFC and permitting only one shot on goal in the entire game. The final score 4-0, FIRE.
