It's time to kick off TopSoccer - the soccer program for visually impaired players or those with special needs. Soccer Buddies are needed to help with the Visually Impaired games on Wednesday afternoon starting September 20th. We also need buddies to help with the Special Needs games on Saturday morning starting September 23rd. The Visual Impaired games will be played at the Reservoir Soccer Complex from 4:30pm-5:30pm on 9/20,9/27,10/4,10/11,10/18 & 10/25.
The Special Needs games will be played at Freedom Ridge on 9/23,9/30,10/7,10/14,10/21 & 10/28. All games will be played at 10:00 & 11:00am except on 10/14. The 10/14 games will be played at 1:00 & 2:00pm. We don't expect everyone to be able to help on every day, however, we need all the help we can get with our biggest season yet!
If you can help, please email Cameron Arcemont (carcemont@cs.com). Please indicate for which program you are volunteering (VI, Special Needs or Both). Soccer Buddies must be at least ten years old. This is a great way for students to earn community service hours. Thank you.

| Nominate a Responsible Coach for a Responsible Coaching Award by August 31st! | | Now that the US Youth Soccer National Championships are over, it is important to reflect on the season and give thanks to these individuals who consistently give their time and energy to create a positive youth soccer experience. Many of these mentors face tough expectations: teaching the game of soccer, ensuring players safety, providing equal playing time, and guiding their team to victory. But when a youth soccer coach, the assistant coaches, club administrators and the entire soccer community place character, sportsmanship and the young soccer athletes' well-being before wins, they demonstrate a level of responsibility that deserves recognition.

Mick Fullerton a member of the Mississippi Fire '90/U18 Boys White team was killed Thursday, November 1 in an accident that also took the life of his 14 year old sister, Caitlin. Mick was an original team member having joined the team when it formed at U11 and had anchored the back line since that time. He was admired by his teammates for many things including his loyalty to his friends and family, his work ethic and his love of the game. He was also a member of the Northwest Rankin High School team. Caitlin was also a student at Northwest Rankin High School. Mick and Caitlin are survived by their parents, Jay and Elaine Fullerton and brother, Will. Jay, Elaine, Mick and Caitlin traveled together as a family to soccer events all across the country. Jay is the travel coordinator for the 18B White and was the driving force behind organizing the '90 Boys European tour in 2006.

An account has been established at Bancorp South to honor Mick and Caitlin which Jay and Elaine will use for soccer scholarships for those who loved the game like Mick and have the enthusiasm for it that Caitlin did. You can make a donation to the Caitlin Fullerton and Michael Fullerton Memorial Fund at any Bancorp South branch or mail your donation to Bancorp South, 100 Primos Road, Flowood, MS 39232. Many people has also asked about sending cards and letters and those can mailed to Jay & Elaine Fullerton c/o Mississippi Fire, PO Box 320746, Flowood, MS 39232. You can also sign their online guest book at www.clarionledger.com
